Praise Pad

Terms of Service

Praise Pad (praisepad.app) is a web app for church worship teams: a song library, set lists, charts on stage, and the team schedule. These terms are the agreement between you and Praise Pad (“we”) for using it. By creating an account or using Praise Pad you agree to them, and to the Privacy Policy.

1. Your account

  • You must be 13 or older to have an account. Younger volunteers can be added to a church's team by its leaders without an account.
  • You sign in with a link sent to your email address (or with Google or Apple where offered). Keep those links to yourself: anyone who opens one can sign in as you.
  • You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at team@praisepad.app if you think someone else has used it.

2. Churches and roles

A church (an “organization” in Praise Pad) is created by one person, its owner, who can add admins, leaders, and musicians. Owners and admins can add, invite, and disable people and change roles; leaders manage songs, services, and the schedule, and can add and invite musicians; only an owner can delete the church. Everyone on a team can see the schedule, who's scheduled, and the charts of published set lists. Contact details of team members are visible only to the church's owners, admins, and leaders, and to the person themself.

3. Your content and licenses

  • Your church's songs, charts, lyrics, files, set lists, and schedule are yours. We don't claim ownership of them. You give us permission to store, copy, and display them only as needed to run Praise Pad for your church (for example, to show a chart on a musician's iPad, to send a scheduling email, or to keep a copy for offline use on a member's device).
  • Most worship songs are copyrighted. By uploading or typing a chart, lyrics, or a file, your church confirms it holds the licenses that allow it to do so, such as a CCLI Church Copyright License (with the Streaming or Rehearsal licenses where they apply) or the publisher's permission. Praise Pad doesn't supply lyrics or charts, and doesn't report your usage to CCLI or anyone else; the song usage report is there to help you do that yourself.
  • Charts and files stay within your church. Sharing them outside your church, including through guest links, is allowed only where your licenses allow it.
  • Libraries are never shared between churches. There is no global song database.
  • We respond to copyright complaints as described on the Copyright page, and may remove content that is the subject of a valid notice.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Praise Pad to:

  • store or share content your church has no right to;
  • get into another church's data, another person's account, or Praise Pad's systems;
  • send unwanted email or messages through it, or use it to harass anyone;
  • copy the service to build a competing one, or interfere with how it runs;
  • break the law, or the rights of others.

We may suspend or close accounts and churches that do these things.

5. Availability and changes

Praise Pad is new and in beta. We work to keep it available, especially on Sunday mornings, and the stage view keeps working offline once a set is downloaded; but we can't promise it will never be down, slow, or wrong. We may change or discontinue features. Praise Pad is free during the beta; if we introduce paid plans, we'll say so ahead of time and you'll choose whether to subscribe.

6. Ending

  • You can delete your account at any time in Your settings. Your notes and settings go with it; your name stays on the services you were part of, in your churches' histories.
  • An owner can delete a church. Its data is removed for good 30 days later; until then, we can restore it if that was a mistake.
  • Owners and admins can export the church's data (songs, files, services, and usage) at any time from Settings.
  • We may close accounts that break these terms, and may end the service with reasonable notice, giving you time to export your data.

7. No warranties, and limits on liability

Praise Pad is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or losses from content your church uploaded. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so some may not apply to you.

8. Other terms

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Praise Pad's operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
  • If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll show the change when you next sign in and give you a chance to agree.
  • If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
